The Complete Nusuk App Guide

Nusuk is the official Saudi platform for Umrah and Hajj: permits for the Rawdah, Umrah scheduling for residents and visitors, visa-linked profiles and, increasingly, the booking of packages. Almost every pilgrim uses it and almost every pilgrim hits a problem with it at least once. This guide walks through the app from first install to permits in hand, and links to the troubleshooting guide for when a step fails.

It is independent and not affiliated with Nusuk or the Saudi government. Rules change; when this guide and the app disagree, the app is current.

Install and create an account

Download Nusuk from the App Store or Google Play (avoid lookalikes). Register with a phone number and email you can receive codes on. Foreign numbers work but codes can be slow; email OTP is often more reliable. Complete your profile with your passport details exactly as printed, because the profile is matched to your visa.

Add companions

One account can manage permits for family members. Add each companion with their passport number and details. For children, use the child's own passport. Companions added incorrectly are the most common reason a permit will not issue for the group.

Link your visa or entry status

Visitors on an Umrah, tourist or transit visa link their visa in the app; residents link their Iqama. If the app cannot find your visa, wait a few hours after issuance and retry; the link depends on the visa appearing in the immigration system.

Book Rawdah and other permits

Rawdah (the Prophet's Mosque garden) permits are issued through Nusuk with limited slots. Check availability early morning Saudi time, be flexible on the slot, and book for companions in the same request. Permits show a QR code; screenshot it and keep it offline.

Booking packages through Nusuk

Nusuk increasingly lists licensed Umrah packages and hotels. Prices and inclusions vary; compare with a licensed agent in your own country before paying, and read what is excluded.

When it does not work

Codes that never arrive, profiles stuck in verification, and permits that will not show are common. The troubleshooting guide covers each with the fixes pilgrims report working, and when to escalate to official support.

A note: this guide is general information for planning. For religious rulings, follow a qualified scholar and your group's guide. For official visa, permit and booking steps, the Nusuk platform (nusuk.sa) is the authority.

Frequently asked questions

Is Nusuk mandatory for Umrah?
For Rawdah permits and for many visa and scheduling steps, yes. Your agent may handle some steps for you, but having your own account is strongly advised.
Can I use one Nusuk account for my family?
Yes. Add family members as companions with their own passport details.
Why does my visa not appear in Nusuk?
It usually takes hours after issuance to sync. Retry later; if it persists after a day, contact your agent or Nusuk support.
Does Nusuk work outside Saudi Arabia?
Yes. You can register and book permits before you travel.
