Flying from Faisalabad

Faisalabad International Airport's international schedule leans toward Gulf labour routes, and pilgrims from this industrial Punjab city typically connect through Lahore, Karachi, or a Gulf hub for Umrah rather than flying nonstop to Jeddah, though seasonal Hajj charters sometimes run direct, so check current availability with a local agent. Faisalabad has a large, close-knit Muslim community with strong ties to Gulf labour migration, which has fed a well-established local travel trade familiar with visa processing and group coordination for Umrah trips. Given the city's hot climate for much of the year, many pilgrims prefer travelling in cooler months when work and school schedules allow, both for comfort locally and for the adjustment on arrival in Saudi Arabia. The Pakistani rupee is standard for local spending. As across Pakistan, confirm any operator's registration with the official Hajj and Umrah scheme before booking, and ask exactly which airports and connections your itinerary will use.

Umrah visa for Pakistanis

Pakistan is not on Saudi Arabia's eVisa list, so Pakistanis normally cannot self-apply online for Umrah. The route is a licensed Umrah company, or an external agent contracted through Nusuk Masar, which books the visa with an approved hotel and transport package as one file, not a visa alone. It must be used within 30 days of issue, so confirm dates with the operator first. Many Pakistanis abroad in the Gulf instead perform Hajj and Umrah through their country of residence rather than Pakistan. Holders of a valid, used US, UK or Schengen visa, or GCC residents, may instead qualify for the eVisa or visa-on-arrival route, so ask the operator to check. For the 1448 AH Umrah season (31 May 2026 to 7 Apr 2027), start several weeks ahead, since checks move faster the earlier you begin.

When to go

Ramadan carries the greatest reward and the greatest crowds and prices; the weeks after Hajj (late Dhul Hijjah into Muharram) and the winter months (November to February) are cooler and quieter. The 1448 AH season runs from 31 May 2026 to 7 April 2027 for arrivals and departures. See the best time to perform Umrah.
